Carrie Reedy is a functional nutritionist specializing in lipoedema management and metabolic health.
After years of working with diverse client populations, a single patient consultation introduced her to lipoedema—sparking what she describes as falling "down the rabbit hole" of understanding this complex condition.
What began as researching how to best support one client evolved into a specialized practice dedicated to the lipoedema community. A few years into this work, Carrie recognized her own experience with the condition, particularly as symptoms intensified during her menopausal transition.
For the past five years, Carrie has worked extensively with women living with lipoedema, supporting hundreds of clients in experimenting with therapeutic dietary approaches to discover what works best for their unique bodies. She takes an individualized, evidence-based approach—recognizing that what serves one woman may not serve another.
Carrie is a sought-after speaker on lipoedema and nutrition, presenting locally in Perth, nationally, and internationally at lipoedema conferences. In 2024, she co-authored a widely respected research paper, "Therapeutic Carbohydrate Reduction for Lipedema," alongside Dr. Leslyn Keith and lipoedema researcher Siobhan Huggins.
Through personalized nutrition consultations, Carrie empowers women to take an active role in managing their lipoedema—combining functional nutrition, anti-inflammatory strategies, and metabolic support to help clients live the healthiest version of themselves at any stage, age, or size.
